Symposit played a critical role in supporting the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) Office of Nuclear Security & Incident Response and the Office of the Chief Information Officer. Our team provided expert-level systems and network engineering, comprehensive project management, and robust IT operations and maintenance, extending end-user support across Tiers I through IV.
In this engagement, Symposit administered the secure environment, encompassing servers, network devices, and encrypted VPN infrastructure that connected all NRC regional offices and every U.S. nuclear power plant. Our support covered over 1,000 users across various NRC offices.
Symposit managed, executed, and monitored tasks related to six key service areas:
- Full lifecycle and end-user support
- System administration and maintenance
- Enterprise content management administration
- Disaster recovery
- Configuration management
- Information system security and project management
Additionally, Symposit created, reviewed, and maintained system and security documentation, submitting these for review and publication in the NRC’s official repository. We also developed user training materials, system use documentation, network and system administration guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring thorough and up-to-date resources for the NRC’s teams.
This successful collaboration underscored Symposit’s commitment to providing top-tier IT support and secure network management for critical national infrastructure.
