Symposit partnered with the USDA’s National Agricultural Library (NAL) to enhance their network security and performance. We implemented a sophisticated network monitoring platform designed to passively monitor NAL’s network devices and traffic. This solution provided real-time alerts, enabling the proactive identification and resolution of potential issues before they could impact operations. The monitoring capabilities included tracking key metrics such as bandwidth usage, device uptime, and overall performance.

In addition to the monitoring platform, Symposit conducted a thorough audit of NAL’s core network devices and configurations. Our analysis focused on ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and bolstering security, all aligned with standards such as NIST 800-53 and the Zero Trust Network Architecture. Based on our findings, we provided actionable recommendations to further enhance and secure the network.

Throughout the project, Symposit collaborated closely with NAL staff to ensure we had the necessary access and credentials to carry out our work effectively. The project deliverables, including the network monitoring platform and the comprehensive audit report, were completed on time and within budget, providing NAL with a more secure and efficient network environment.
