Symposit LLC is pleased to announce that it has recently received SWaM Certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certification program is a state program of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The purpose is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects.  In 2006, Governor Tim Kaine set a 40% goal of purchases from SWaMs for the Commonwealth.

Symposit LLC is a small & minority business as qualified by the DMBE website which states: “Small business” means a business that is at least 51% independently owned and controlled by one or more individuals who are U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens, and together with affiliates, has 250 or fewer employees, or average annual gross receipts of $10 million or less averaged over the previous three years. “Minority” means the your firm at least 51% owned and controlled by a member or members of a designated ethnic group.

Symposit LLC is a professional IT services company that is privately owned by a minority. Symposit LLC was founded in the Northern Virginia area in 2008. Most of Symposit’s clients are small and medium sized entities and we support local economic growth and diversity in business, especially within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
